Galley Server at Langara Fishing Lodge, Haida Gwaii, **Location**: Langara Island, Haida Gwaii, BC **Position Type**: Full-Time Seasonal Contract **When**: May - September **Shift**: 11-hour shifts, 6 days a week **Overview**: Langara Fishing Lodge, nestled in the stunning landscapes of Haida Gwaii, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Galley Servers to join our vibrant team. This unique role allows you to work in a fast-paced, welcoming environment on a floating barge, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and meet guests and staff from all over the world. As a Galley Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our guests during breakfast, lunch, and / or dinner services. **Key Responsibilities**: Tend to guests' orders during breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. - Open and close the galley dining room efficiently, adhering to operational procedures. - Restock multiple areas of the galley as needed to ensure smooth service. - Exhibit a go-getter attitude, proactively addressing guest needs and enhancing their dining experience. - Provide respectful and welcoming service to both staff and guests, fostering a positive atmosphere. - Follow "Serving It Right" guidelines and health and food safety standards at all times. - Create a welcoming atmosphere in the dining area, making guests feel comfortable and valued. - Offer knowledgeable advice on specific menu items and wine offerings, enhancing guests' enjoyment. - Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in both fast-paced environments and quieter shifts, remaining self-driven and effective. - Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced serving environment while maintaining exceptional service standards **Work Environment**: Working at Langara Fishing Lodge means being surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Haida Gwaii.
