We are currently seeking to hire Processing Associates at our Hamilton location

**Who We Are**:
Sierra Supply Chain Services (a division of Eastern Meat Solutions) provides protein (poultry, beef, pork) solutions to the food processing and distribution sector. We simplify supply chain services and provide expanding value to the protein sector across our three locations in Brampton, Hamilton, and Mississauga.

**What You will Be Doing/Position Details**:
Processing Associate workers will be responsible for working on the production floor in a variety of different capacities: heavy lifting, order fulfillment, working on production lines, sanitation, and other duties as prescribed.

**Accountabilities and Detailed Activity**:
**Production**
- Feed raw materials into machinery, assemble goods on production lines
- Monitor the production process, perform sanitation duties as required
- Perform meat processing general duties: cutting, deboning, and moving boxes, packaging goods
- Follow the right processes
- Pay attention to all details on the production line
- Reduce waste

**Food Safety & Quality Service**
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure that product meets quality standards
- Reduction in meat on the floor give away and losses, perform testing checks and identify product quality

**Policies & GMPS**
- Adhere to Sierra company policies, GMPS, HACCP, and Occupational Health & Safety Guidelines

Attendance
- Maintain an excellent attendance record, ensuring that you arrive for shifts on time and prepared to work
- Demonstrate flexibility as production needs change

**Learning New Skills**
- Demonstrate an interest an apt for learning new skills in relation to growth opportunities with Sierra
- Ask to learn about new skills related to production, leadership for continual improvement
- Self-Assess if you require additional training on procedures

**Minimum Requirements**:

- High School Diploma
- Minimum one year of experience in a food processing/production environment considered an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both oral and written communication
- Organized, thrives in a team environment
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic Mathematical and Calculation Skills.
