**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Responsible for management and control of shipping and receiving processes and function within the shipping and receiving area

In conjunction with customer service staff and the group leader, organize the shifts tasks and priorities to ensure that they are completed efficiently, effectively and safely.

Ensure jobs are completed within the required time schedule

Prepare Bill of ladings

Safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers utilizing forklift

Monitor shipping & receiving processes to ensure high efficiency and throughput while exceeding customer’s quality expectations

Review customer complaints focusing on improving areas of concern, understanding that customer relationships and sensitivity are the highest priority.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving documents and cross checking with the purchase / sales order for accuracy and received in the system daily in a timely manner

Effectively liaise with other members of divisional team, FPH Group, customers and outside suppliers

Driven to ensure all key performance indicator targets are met

Time management skills to serve several customers at the same time and ability to react to quickly changing requirements

Assist with all material handling items as needed

Member of inventory team including assisting with cycle counting

Follow regulations and policies as outlined in company’s employee handbook

Follow requirements as required by ISO registration

Follow requirements as required by Controlled Goods Registration and other defense sector registrations (ie ITAR, etc.)

In accordance with the health & safety policy, follow and exceed the legislative requirements outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act in order to provide a safe & healthy workplace for all employees.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

Secondary School Graduate

Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics and part lists

Knowledge and experience in shipping and receiving methods and techniques

Ability to work within a diverse team

Experience with Microsoft Office Productivity Suite

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

Valid Forklift License

Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills

2 years’ experience working in a shipping receiving environment

Demonstrate initiative, reliability and positive team attitude

**Must be a Canadian Citizen**

Must be able to successfully pass a controlled goods background check.

**Salary**: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
