**Summary**

We are seeking a Handy Man/Woman to join our dedicated team in the Greater Toronto Area. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients homes are well-maintained and safe for them to live in, and who can help support clients by giving them a sense of pride and independence in their homes.

Ideal for a person who is a contractor and looking for additional work. Should already have their own tools and have experience working in construction, trades, contracting, repairs & maintenance.

This position would be an on-call position, on a per project basis. Hours vary monthly based on work available.

Should have experience with seniors, and/or working with vulnerable people.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure facility safety and functionality.
- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, and structural issues as needed.
- Assist in installing shelves, railings, ramps, cabinets, safety features in homes.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or clients.
- Document completed work and report any major issues to management.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in general maintenance or maintenance person roles.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety.
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and clients respectfully.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Comfortable with quoting projects & using apps & technology.
