**Key Responsibilities of the Account Lead**

**Bookkeeping/Payroll Duties**
- Weekly bookkeeping for multiple clients (QuickBooks Online)
- Answering support questions from clients related to bookkeeping (Gmail + Google Meet)
- Ensuring clients’ books are kept up-to-date and are accurate and organized
- Preparing month-end reports
- Providing financial analysis to clients on a quarterly and yearly basis (Syft Analytics)
- Prepare full scope payroll in a cloud-based solution (Knit Payroll)
- Prepare and file government remittances/filings (WSIB, GST/HST, and more)
- Prepare year-end tax forms (T4s, T5018s, T5s, and more)
- Managing multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

**Tax Duties**
- Prepare personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns (TaxCycle)
- Maintain tax client files and documents in an organized manner

**Administrative Duties**
- Onboarding new clients (Google Drive, Citrix Sharefile, Google Meet)
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Manage tasks through our task management system (ClickUp)
- Follow up on internal deadlines
- Greet clients in a hospitable manner and able to handle client complexities
- Call Canada Revenue Agency, agencies and clients on an as-needed basis

**About You**
- An excellent understanding of accrual bookkeeping, payroll, debits and credits, clearing accounts, bank reconciliations and more
- An excellent understanding of the ins and outs of how an accounting system works: Invoicing, payables, bookkeeping, tax rates, etc.
- Prior bookkeeping and tax experience in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Hyper-organized
- Social, presentable and well spoken - we want our clients to love you
- You are independent, highly motivated and a self-starter
- You are a multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Strong work ethic
- Tech savvy
- A love for technology and the ability to learn new software/apps quickly
- Knowledge of online accounting software (Xero, QBO, etc.) is an asset
