**Job Summary**

**What is the opportunity?**

Provides expertise and guidance for the development and enforcement of organizational underwriting guidelines, policies and processes. Applies complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.

**What will you do?**
- Achieve process performance goals, both at the individual and work unit level.
- Contribute to high quality risk assessment and management within the work unit.
- Support customer focus for internal and external customers.
- Understand and contribute to rating, information collection, and workflow improvements

**What will you need to succeed?**

Must Have:

- 2 to 3 years of insurance experience
- Strong mathematical skills
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven collaboration/team player mindset
- Ability to think conceptually and outside the box
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
- Strong negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution skills with a bias towards customer service

Nice to have:

- 2 to 3 years of experience as a Group Underwriter or Group benefits experience
- Ability to speak and write in French is considered an asset
