**The Opportunity**:
WSP is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Contract Administration team, located at our Thornhill office. Reporting to the Manager, Contract Administration - Water and Wastewater, this position will be responsible for the management of project and assignments for Private and Public sector clients.

**A day in the life**:

- Working directly with Water and Wastewater Infrastructure clients, contractors (engineering/riggers/etc.), and technical resources (internal/external clients)
- Project/program planning, and budget estimating/reporting
- Reading/understanding construction drawings & specifications
- Reviewing drawings to propose and verify tower/rooftop technical loading and structural components
- Preparing (create/issue/review/award) tender documents, writing of documents informing contractors of obligations
- Establishing construction schedules and coordination of resources to meet time/cost/quality objectives
- Team meeting project planning, project status reporting and respective database inputs
- Continual communication needs, setting expectations, delegation and status reporting
- Travel to various sites across the region required
- Other work requirements as assigned.

**What you'll bring to WSP...**:

- 15+ years’ experience in Construction Management, Water Wastewater Infrastructure background (watermains, wastewater treatment plant, pumping stations, reservoirs, roads, sidewalks, bridges etc. )
- Experience with municipal and land development Clients is an asset
- Able to manage the construction inspection team, Organization skills to prioritize and manage diverse workload.
- Able to resolve the claim situations, Expert knowledge of materials means and methods, and equipment involved in the construction of heavy works.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements, including contractor/client negotiations.
- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to maintain professional and effective working relationships with Project Owner and related team.
- Advanced ability to engage team and drive performance.
- Expert knowledge in construction safety standards with ability to drive safety culture.
- Strong understanding of risk management.
- Results oriented with extremely high work ethic, stringent quality standards and can-do attitude. Excellent written and verbal c
