As the Purchasing and Materials Management Vice President, you will play a critical role in the company's success by developing and leading high-performing Purchasing, Planning, Materials, Freight and Logistics teams to drive Supplier Performance and target achievement of 100% in station parts availability to support schedule attainment. You will work collaboratively with the Strategic Sourcing, Vice President and the Executive Vice President of Supply Management to implement strategic procurement strategies, manage vendor relationships, and optimize supply chain performance for the North American Bus and Coach business (NABC). This role will support both the NFI and MCI teams.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Collaborate and coordinate with the Strategic Sourcing VP and the EVP of Supply Management to develop and implement strategies to build a world class supply chain across the NABC organizations.
- Build and lead high-performing Purchasing, Planning, Materials, Freight and Logistics teams to achieve 100% in station parts availability to support schedule attainment.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance including the Supplier Performance Assessment Program and identifying the suppliers that need engagement from the Supplier Development Team.

- lead with the Strategic Sourcing VP the launches of new suppliers and new products at existing suppliers, as well as assessing Supplier Risk Analysis and determining action plans to mitigate supply disruption risk.
- Ensure policies and processes are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health & safety programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through regular assessments and enhanced processes and workflows to drive efficiency.
- Responsible for the Corporate Traffic and Customs operation (Logistics). Monitoring compliance with customs requirements, ensures logistic activities support on time delivery of parts and finished buses.
- Develop and manage budgets for purchasing and materials functions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, set targets, manage inventory levels and to ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall business operations.
- Maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders providing regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Incorporate sustainable and environmentally responsible practices into procurement strategies.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Post-secondary education in Business with emphasis on Supply Management or Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years proven Senior Management leadership experience.
- Proven experience and understanding of world class purchasing and materials processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set and meet goals.
- Proven track record of Supplier Relationship Management and improving supplier performance.
- Experience with MRP and supply technology tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Background in the financial field is an asset.
- Align with company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Ability to travel.
