Sheet Metal Apprentice

**Key Responsibilities of Sheet Metal Apprentice**:

- Receives direction as to scope of work from Foreman or Lead hand
- Review drawings, assesses workload and prioritize method to be used
- Determines materials and tools required to be effective and efficient.
- Obtains materials required in accordance with company procedures for purchasing
- Performs his work in a professional manner and in accordance with standards as established by regulatory bodies, SMACNA, ASHRAE, building code, municipal by-laws.
- Reports any non-conformity & status to the Lead on site
- Uses company tools in the intended fashion and reports any defect of malfunction to the Lead on site
- Records all data on work orders and related paperwork
- Must abide by all safety guidelines posted and /or communicated in the jobsite and those communicated by the Company
- Must use the 4s platform to submit H&S inspections, accident reports, etc. as required
- Ensure they work under the direction of a Journeyman/Foreman to transfer knowledge and write the Certificate of Qualification once all of the hours are met.

**Required Education/Experience and Certificates for Sheet Metal Apprentice**:

- **Must be registered with Skilled Trades Ontario
- its a requirement**:

- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
- Training certificates :WAH, AERIAL LIFT, ASBESTOS, CONFINE SPACE ETC. all considered an asset

**Salary**: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
