About Pilkington:
Pilkington North America manufactures and markets glass and glazing products for the architectural and automotive markets. Its sales are made up of 70 percent automotive products (57 percent Original Equipment and 43 percent Automotive Glass Replacement) and 30 percent architectural. The Collingwood location manufactures automotive glass and has been in operation for over 50 years.

Starting rate of _**$22.25/ hour.**_

Once you have successfully worked 480 hours, you will become a permanent union Pilkington employee. As such you will be entitled to:

- Pay increase to _**$22.50/ hour after probation**_

Position Responsibilities:
Work in various areas of production:
Tasks include:

- Cutting/ trimming, packing off the line, running CNC machines, running print lines

Always work with safety and quality in mind

Meet production quotas

**Requirements**:
High School Diploma

Ability to complete a criminal background check

Hearing test and physical covered by the company

Physically able to perform the work:

- Standing for extended periods of time
- Lifting windshields with assistance

Must have safety shoes or boots

Must wear company provided safety gear such as safety glasses, vest, gloves, cuffs and aprons

Must have good attendance

Shifts:
The Collingwood plant runs 24/7. These positions require the ability to work a rotating continental shift or a 3 shift rotation depending on department
- 12 hour continental shifts, rotation of 2 weeks days, 2 weeks midnights
- Day shift hours 7:30am - 7:30pm
- Midnight shift hours 7:30pm - 7:30am
- One week consists of 3 days of work and the other week consists of 4 days of work
- Work every other weekend
- 3 shift rotation, Days - 7:30am - 3:30pm Afternoons - 3:30pm - 11:30pm and Midnights - 11:30pm - 7:30am

**Salary**: From $22.50 per hour
