**Responsibilities**

Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the General Carpenter include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Execute renovation projects including but not limited to instal exterior doors/windows, trim work, fit interior doors, framing of floors, walls, rafter, truss roofs, siding, material take offs.
- Perform caulking and sealing of surfaces to ensure durability and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with Site Supervisor to interpret and work from engineered drawings, specifications, and instructions to complete projects.
- Maintain clear communications with team (site supervisor, various trades and other key team members) to ensure project success.
- Skilled in identifying structural issues, making necessary repairs, and working with various materials such as wood, steel, or concrete to reinforce or rebuild structural components.
- Identify and resolve any on-site risks or issues, providing effective solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved.
- Coordinate with the Site Supervisor to determine materials, equipment, and resource needs.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in renovation or construction roles 5 to 10 years.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively an asset.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
