Acclaim Health announces the availability of one (1) Full-Time **Manager, Nursing** position in the Health Services team. This position is located in the Oakville Office supervising the team of Care Managers, Nursing and Clinical Educator, Nursing. This position is required to work Monday - Friday, between 8:30 and 5:00pm, with the requirement of evening and weekend on-call supervisory support on a rotational basis.
**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS**:
- Monitors staffing levels and recruitment needs and, in partnership with Human Resources, oversees the recruitment of new staff
- Collaborates with the Senior Director, Health Services and Director of Homecare in the implementation of the financial plan for Nursing and manages annual spending based on budget and implements plans to address negative variances
- Builds relationships and excellence in communication with Ontario Health at Home through participation in care conferences and quarterly meeting attendance.
- Participates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary care team (including staff, clients and caregivers) in supporting the client’s needs according to the client’s care plan
- Conducts an annual review/revision of Nursing policies
- Ensures Nursing service delivery models are effective, efficient and patient-centred
- Provides internal customer service excellence through leading by example utilizing coaching and mentoring to ensure excellence in patient care
- In collaboration with Human Resources, manages the recruitment, orientation and training of direct reports
- Effectively manages the performance of direct reports through monitoring and regular performance reviews
- Identifies education and development needs of staff and facilitates ongoing learning
- Leads and facilitates team meetings for program staff
- Identifies, minimizes and manages patient risk in accordance with risk management and incident reporting standards, policies and procedures
- Supports the Health Services annual operational plan by implementing the annual priorities within their teams
- Provides evening and weekend on-call supervisory support on a rotational basis
- Other duties as required
**QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION**:
- Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BScN or a diploma in Nursing and relevant experience
- Valid Ontario driver’s license, use of vehicle and insurance per the Acclaim Health policy.
**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:
- Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective listening skills
- Demonstrated assessment, problem-solving and negotiating skills
- Strong planning, coordinating and organizing skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of / skill in risk management
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling software
- Knowledge of community resources in Halton Region an asset
**WORK LOCATION**:
This position is based at our office in Oakville, Ontario however, may include a combination of virtual and in-office work as determined by the needs of the organization.
Starting salary range: $83,266 to $88,296

Pay: $42.68-$45.28 per hour
