We are a construction company based in Wolfville, specializing in building multi-residential housing in the Valley. We are looking for a Lead Carpenter, ideally a hardworking professional with several years of Carpentry and Management experience, to join our carpentry team. The Lead Carpenter will report to our COO and will be relied upon as our Crew Lead. If you have experience in carpentry, as well as managing a team/job site, this may be the position for you

**The Position - Lead Carpenter / Crew Lead**
**Responsibilities**
- Assigning and explain tasks to the team
- Ordering constructions materials needed for projects
- Supervising the carpentry crew, and sub-contractors where required
- Performing standard carpentry duties, including finish and rough carpentry
- Maintain good relationships with supervisors, co-workers, subcontractors and public
- Train, educate and work with new employees
- Report to Supervisor daily, and provide project updates
- Maintain records of work done by Carpentry team
**Qualifications**
- 5+ years of Carpentry experience
- 2+ years of Management experience
- Red Seal or equivalent Carpentry designation
- Resident to Nova Scotia and ability to work locally
- Driver’s license
- 2 refences ready and available, if requested
- Effective communication
- Superior time management skills
- Strong and proven leadership abilities
