**Responsibilities**

  • Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
  • Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
  • Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team

- Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to)

  • Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols
  • Response & assistance in emergency situations
  • Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift
  • Investigate routine incidents
  • Unlock/Lockup of premises
  • Policy awareness & enforcement
  • Monthly safety inspections
  • Additional duties as assigned

**Job Requirements**

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
  • Must be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
  • English proficiency (oral & written) is required
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
  • 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
