**Job Summary**:
Your primary responsibility and focus is supporting the development and implementation of Whistler Blackcomb’s partnership and commitments with Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and Lil̓wat7úl (Lil’wat Nation). You will act as a dedicated lead for relationships with Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation in many areas of our MDA Umbrella Agreement implementation, including employee recruiting, employment, training and housing; recreational opportunities and hosting; and contracting opportunities. This will include leadership on Whistler Blackcomb’s Indigenous Human Resources Strategy with a goal of helping Whistler Blackcomb be an employer of choice for Indigenous Peoples.

This role is a Specialist Role reporting directly to Sr. Manager of Projects & Employee Services. You will also work closely with Whistler Blackcomb’s Chief Operating Officer and Sr. Specialist Community Relations.

**Responsibilities**:
**Employment & Training**
- Supporting the development and implementation, in partnership with the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation, of a strategy to align and leverage existing and future training programs being offered by Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation with potential Whistler Blackcomb apprenticeships and/or employment opportunities;
- Creating an awareness and understanding of Whistler Blackcomb jobs and opportunities through dialogue, job fairs, community events, school visits etc.;
- Working closely with employment and training coordinators at Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation to develop strong applicant pools and widely communicate available job postings;
- Facilitating ongoing communication between our First Nations hires and their managers, and providing support when needed and supporting development of a mentorship program for Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation employees;
- Supporting efforts to educate the broader population of Whistler Blackcomb and Vail Resorts employees about the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation to develop greater cultural understanding amongst our team that supports training, retention and growth of Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation employees at Whistler Blackcomb;
**Contracting Opportunities**
- Supporting the development and implementation of a strategy to maximize procurement and contracting opportunities, including: working with Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation to identify businesses that align with Whistler Blackcomb’s goods and service needs, and identifying potential training or mentoring programs that can be provided to members of Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation.

**Recreational Opportunities**
- Supporting the implementation of recreational opportunities for Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation youth between 5 and 18 years of age, including facilitating Whistler Kids school programs, liaising with local non-profit organizations focused on First Nations inclusion and administration of the Youth Partner Pass Program;
- Supporting continued partnership with Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation on recreational opportunities through facilitation of the Recreational Steering Committee;
- Supporting and developing recreational opportunities for the broader population of Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation members on their traditional territories;
- Supporting the cultural sharing of Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation as part of the Whistler Blackcomb ethos, including: employee engagement, marketing and tourism communications, and enhanced participation of Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation members in events and celebrat
