**We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Receptionist for our Schonsee facility in AB.**
**Job Purpose Summary**:
- The Receptionist is responsible for a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of the administration department. This includes coordinating and communicating building activities (including resident outings and activities), monitoring front entryway to greet and screen residents and visitors entering and leaving, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, and scheduling appointments. Tracks, updates and/or reconciles other records and information as required or as assigned. Provides backup support to and takes guidance as required from Site Administrator. Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- Provides scheduled tours to potential residents/resident families, in the absence of a Leasing Agent. Site Manager/Admin/Reception.
- Tracks, amends, and/or updates other key information, such as site reference information.
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.
**Required Knowledge/Skills**:
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Two (2) years of direct work experience in a receptionist or administrative capacity required.
- Proficient computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
- Clear criminal record check completed a maximum of three (3) months prior to the ‘date of hire’ required.
- Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization required.
- Prior work experience/demonstrated skills to work with seniors and their families is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Superior telephone skills and manners plus strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
- Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
- General mathematical skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Strong knowledge of general office procedures.
- Meticulous records management skills.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
- Knowledge of office supplies and the ordering process, as well as inventory control of these items.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Perform tasks despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work in an infectious disease outbreak environment and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
**Work Conditions**:
- Busy reception setting.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Must be able to sit long periods.
- Must be able to lift 10 to 20 lbs. regularly.
- Repetitive work.
- Potential exposures to infectious diseases, including an outbreak environment.
- May interact with residents, family members, staff, visitors and external healthcare professionals (physician, EMS, etc.).
- Overtime may be required.
- Must be physically present in the workplace for work (remote work unavailable).
