We are currently seeking an Accounting Technician or articling student to join our firm.

We are a mid-sized local CPA firm on the west side of downtown Calgary, who believes in a work-life balance, and a flexible work environment.

**Job Summary**

Our future colleague will be assisting with or learning how to do the following:

- Preparation of financial statements and year-end files in full or as part of a team including all necessary adjustments for compilation, review and audit files
- Preparation of T2 corporate tax returns, T1 personal tax returns, T3 Trust returns, T5013 Statement of Partnership income, T5’s and T4’s
- Limited bookkeeping for various clients including cash receipts, cash disbursements, bank reconciliations, GST/HST reports
- Provide support to clients while implementing their accounting systems, and answer questions regarding various bookkeeping issues

**Desired work experience and abilities**
- Three years of experience in an accounting firm or completion of University/College degree in accounting
- Knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, and Tax Cycle (or equivalent program)
- Good working knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel and Word;
- Ability to work independently, yet understand the importance of working as part of a team;
- Understand the challenges of small business owners and is professional, polite and respectful at all times;
