We are currently seeking **Traffic Accommodation Labourers** for our Shaw Traffic Division based out of Edmonton, AB. This is a **temporary position starting immediately **until tentatively end of September on a 7 days on and 7 days off shift. The shift rotation will be alternating days or nights, working 12-hour shifts.

**What is the role?**

The Traffic Accommodation Labourer will report to the Traffic Accommodation Coordinator and will be responsible to install and maintain traffic control devices to provide safe passage for motorists through the work zone, as well as safeguarding the workers by separating the traffic from the area of work.
- Set up, reposition, and dismantle traffic control signage including barricades, delineators, signage, and digital message boards.
- Remove or cover all traffic control signage at end of day or when traffic control is suspended.
- Providing and accommodating the least obstructed roadway for the motoring public.
- Arrange for the rental and return of required signs.
- Check and document all construction sites.
- Maintain an inventory of signs and products.
- Management of the Flagging team, ensuring breaks are taken and covered.
- Flagging as required.

**What do we value?**
- Possess a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Physically able to complete labour work.
- Experience in traffic control would be an asset.
- Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Zone Traffic Accommodation Course is an asset.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently, and with mínimal supervision.
