**STATUS**: Permanent; Full-Time

**SHIFT**: 35 hours per week

**About the Position**:
The Business Analyst Digital Transformation will play an important role in protecting animals across British Columbia by supporting the growth and success of the BCSPCA. This role will be part of a growing team tasked with partnering with stakeholders across the organization in digitally transforming processes and operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve service experiences, and reduce enterprise risks.

**Some specific duties**:

- Evaluating and documenting business processes, anticipating, gathering and existing and future requirements, uncovering and prioritizing areas for improvement, conducting risk assessments and cost analysis and developing and implementing cost-beneficial solutions.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Acts as liaison between BCSPCA and third-party vendors for RFPs, development requests and the implementation of solutions.
- Provides thought leadership and innovation in digital transformation strategic planning.
- Provides leadership and management on key digital transformation projects in part by creating the project charter, developing, and maintaining the project plan, managing project stakeholders, and managing project communications.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas, findings and solicit feedback from the organization.
- Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Working closely with technicians, process owners, managerial staff and 3rd parties.
- Educates and trains users to implement best practices and leverage technology; provides technology-related guidance, coaching and direction as appropriate to other members of department and project teams.
- Applies a range of process efficiency tools which may include unlocking automation within existing software, using API tools to create integration between systems, removing or re-ordering existing process steps, training users and evaluating and implementing software replacements.
- Works with the Training & Development Specialist to prepare and deliver training materials to in digital, written or in-person formats.
- Prepares clear, narrative, and visual documentation to support revised process workflows.

**Qualifications you need to have**:

- Degree, Diploma or Certification in Business or Finance related discipline plus minimum of 8 years’ experience in similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) designation is an asset.
- Certification or familiarity with Lean or Six Stigma methodology is an asset
- Proven critical thinking abilities
- Understanding of business, payment processes, internal controls or financial systems and workflows would be an asset
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to organize, set priorities, complete tasks, and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Philosophical harmony with the vision, mission and strategic direction of the organization.
- Prior experience working on digital transformation programs and nonprofit organizations would be an asset
