**Technical Project Manager**

As a family-owned company founded in 1971 in the scrap metal recycling industry, Amix has since expanded into a wide range of services, including marine salvage, marine projects, marine towing and barging, concrete sales and steel distribution.

Our team looks at all opportunities and avenues to find solutions that work for our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager who provides leadership to the Marine Projects Division through technical planning and execution to complete project scope. This includes ensuring all assigned projects are completed safely, environmentally sound, efficiently and works to deliver a high standard of quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Technical Project manager responsible for drafting and completion of project scope packages.
- Analyze specifications, drawings and participate in completing project planning and scheduling.
- Work in tandem with the Manager of Marine/Capital Projects where applicable, in the day-to-day duties.
- Lead estimates and manage execution with sufficient materials, equipment and resources to meet the client's requirements, including contractual terms and conditions, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the planning and the logistics of assigned projects including, but not limited to approving all project material and resource requirements via invoices and/or time sheetS.
- Prepare and manage ongoing project costing to support budgets & forecasting and project related client invoices and provide supporting documentation where required
- Coordinate with subcontractors in requesting and following up on shop drawing submittals, additional work pricing, design submittals and billing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs (Shop drawings, RFI, RFQ, Purchase Orders, LEMs, etc.), track responses and keep the team up to date.
- Create and updating as built and Turnover manual documents.
- Attend internal coordination and project meetings as requested/required.
- Review and assist with tracking maintenance records of company assets.
- Monitor work on site, to ensure compliance with owner's standards, design procedures, contract specifications/codes.
- Ensure all permits and permissions are in place prior to the work commencing, including but not limited to environmental permits, and/or communication plans
- Ensure all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements/inspections are conducted and met on site and all work is carried out in accordance with policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Technologist Diploma or Degree in Engineering or other related education or experience.
- 5+ years related construction experiences with at least 3 working directly in a project management or similar role. Crane experience is considered an asset.
- Direct knowledge and experience in marine construction, drilling, pile driving and/or clamshell operations
- Eligible for AScT or P.Eng registration in the province of B.C is considered an asset.

**Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies**:

- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe, AutoCAD).
- Crane, Rigging and/or Marine Operations experience is considered an asset.
- Strong Planning and Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraints.
- Be self-motivated and driven.
- Valid British Columbia Driver’s License and the ability travel in BC.

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to travel within BC as required by project, extensive and prolonged travel is expected at times including out of town project work.

**Experience**:
