JVS Toronto is a non-profit leader in career and employment services for jobseekers and employers across the GTA, supporting more than 21,000 individuals annually. For over 65 years, our programs have supported young graduates, immigrants, mature workers, the unemployed and the underemployed. With annual revenues of $13 million, our services are delivered in 9 Toronto locations by a dedicated team of approximately 170 staff including qualified employment counsellors, workforce specialists and psychologists, making JVS a well-known leader in this field.

The** JVS Employment Source Scarborough and Toronto Centre locations**, funded by MLITSD, provides employment services to unemployed individuals of all ages, financial backgrounds and skills to help them gain employment within their field or a related field. To achieve its goal, the program provides a range of services at one location including information and referral services, one-on-one employment counselling, employment workshops, and job development/placement services. In addition, **GOLD** and** ASD **programs are delivered from the Scarborough office and serve job seekers with learning disabilities and Asperger’s syndrome.

**The individual in this position will**:

- Develop, manage and implement practices, policies and procedures for consistent employment services in all components of Employment Ontario ES
- Provide management and leadership to two locations teams to ensure ongoing communications among staff, community partners and funders
- Oversee all aspects of staff management, hiring and performance
- Manage ongoing development, evaluation and continuous improvement of the ES model ensuring that the site’s procedures, processes and performance commitments, funding, outcomes and program expenditures are in compliance with our Employment Services agreements
- Manage GOLD and ASD programs, establish meaningful partnerships for programs promotion/referrals, oversee programs delivery and be responsible for funder reporting
- Participate in yearly business plan development, preparation of quarterly estimate of expenditure reports and other compliance reports as required by funder
- Report on budgets, monitor expenses, and resolve financial issues
