Gas Technician Installer

Commercial Kitchen Services in Toronto (GTA), Ontario, performing repairs, maintenance programs and installation of customs stainless kitchens.

As a Service Technician, you will install, repair, troubleshoot and preform PM for commercial kitchen equipment. You will require you to utilize your industry knowledge to service complex equipment, while providing exceptional customer service. You will be exposed to avariety of equipment, as small as a slicer - as big as a walk in oven. You will be responsible for interacting with our customers directly and other members of our team in a professional manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure personal and customer safety+
- Install, repair and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment
- Consult customer and/or refer to work orders to establish nature of the equipment malfunction
- Diagnose faults, analyze issues and refer to schematic diagrams to repair and/or replace equipment
- Perform planned maintenance
- Work directly with our customers at their various locations
- Upsell additional services to customers when possible
- Maintain constant communication with service team members
- Report service call outcomes to internal team members (calls completed, parts needed or requires a quote)

**Qualifications**
- Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications.
- 4+ years of experience as service technician
- Experience in the Food Service Industry is an Asset
- Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license min 2 yrs.
- Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License clean driving record
- Must have the minimum recommend tools as per TSSA
- Excellent communication, customer service, strong problem solving skills and the ability to defuse challenging situations
- Diagnostic maintenance skills for commercial cooking equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- How to read and understand architectural, electrical drawing
- Installation of custom stainless, Installation of whole kitchen packages
- Must know how to cut and thread pipe
- Strong understanding of B149 Code Book TSSA
- Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
- In addition, ability to lift and maneuver cooking equipment with the assistance of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/electricity).
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
- Must have strong interpersonal and problem -solving skills.
- Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
- Very punctual and dependable.
- Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard (where applicable).
- Ability to take direction and work with a mínimal amount of supervision.
- Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required, including weekends
