**Position Summary**:
The Produce Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the produce department. This includes maintaining high standards for freshness, cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and customer service. The Produce Manager leads and trains their team to execute daily routines, manage shrink, and maximize department sales while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**What You Bring**:

- Minimum 3-4 years of produce department experience, with 1+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong understanding of produce handling, storage, and merchandising best practices.
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Familiarity with basic computer tools for ordering and scheduling is an asset.

**Team Leadership**
- Supervise, train, and support produce clerks in all daily tasks.
- Build a positive and productive team environment with a strong focus on communication and accountability.
- Prepare schedules and delegate tasks to ensure smooth department operation.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and performance feedback.

**Produce Quality & Merchandising**
- Ensure produce displays are clean, full, well rotated, and appealing to customers.
- Check all products for quality and freshness throughout the day.
- Execute promotional plans and merchandising strategies to increase sales and reduce shrink.
- Ensure proper signage, pricing, and labeling in accordance with company standards.

**Inventory & Ordering**
- Monitor inventory levels and place accurate orders to maintain stock without over-ordering.
- Receive, inspect, and organize deliveries while checking for quality and accuracy.
- Track and reduce shrink by maintaining proper rotation and handling practices.

**Customer Service**
- Provide outstanding service by being available, approachable, and knowledgeable.
- Assist customers with product questions and special requests.
- Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.

**Health & Safety / Compliance**
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety standards and company procedures.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or accidents immediately.
