**JOB SUMMARY**

This position is primarily responsible for operating various machine tools varying from fully manual operation to completely automated computer-controlled machining centers.

Ensures to perform his tasks to meet customer requirements and Howmet’s quality procedures while keeping minimum inventory.

**DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES**
- Organizes work in process into groups according to required machine operation.
- Calls up appropriate machine instructions on Process Method Sheets (PMS) book.
- Installs proper cutting tools into the machine tool, measures tool length, and enters measurement into the computer.
- Installs correct fixture into the machine tool.
- Machine’s castings and visually inspect against PMS standards.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Operates various machine tools varying from fully manual operation to completely automated computer-controlled machining centers.
- Reads tolerancing diagrams and operates gauges to assure proper tolerances.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Respects the values and code of ethics of the company.
- Respects the Environment, Health & Safety programs of the company.

**REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES**
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
- Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and have sufficient computer knowledge to make program changes if needed.

**EDUCATION REQUIRED**
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of both experience and training.

**PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION**
- None

**EXPERIENCE**
- Six to eight months of on the-job training is required to achieve proficiency.
