**Salary or Pay Band**:Pay Band 2, $22.201 to $26.109 (5 step range)

**Profile Description**:Supports the unit by performing various clerical and patient care tasks.

The Clinic Assistant supports the work unit by performing a variety of clerical and patient care tasks. This position reports to a Manager in Radiation Therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS: Medical Office Assistant certificate (OR) Medical Administrative Assistant (OR) Office Administrative Assistant Program including medical terminology (OR) Continuing Care Assistant certificate (OR) completion of a Nursing or Radiation Therapy program

Experience: No previous experience required.

Skills: Ability to type proficiently.

Required to follow established methods when performing duties.

Some Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a limited number of alternatives.

Ability to effectively communicate factual information both orally and in writing.

Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.

Accuracy of fine motor movements for typing/data entry is required.

Maintain confidentiality.

Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
