Retail Sales Associate

Duties:
- Executing opening and closing procedures.
- Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
- Responds to customers’ questions or concerns.
- Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
- Goes above and beyond providing outstanding customer service.
- Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
- Manages financial transactions.
- Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
- Alerts management of potential security issues.
- Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.
- Maintaining consistent visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both in English and multilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating discounts or change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Organizational skills to keep track of inventory and maintain a tidy sales floor
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $16.55-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
