Games on Tap is a Board Game Café in the Waterloo Area. Our café is all about board games, delicious food, drink and good times. We serve hot pressed paninis, homemade soups, direct-trade coffee and craft beer. We are looking for someone to join our small team. We offer a fun and supportive work environment and a great team atmosphere. We are flexible with hours and availability and do our very best to work together to make sure everyone has a fun time at work If you love board games and food service then this role is for you.

**We want someone who will**:

- Be efficient and provide the highest quality standards for food service
- Greet our guests, guide them through the menu and take guests’ orders in order to deliver a service that is memorable
- Ensure all food and beverage orders are taken promptly and properly and attend to guests’ needs throughout the meal
- Perform barista related duties and services
- Prepare and serve beverages (including alcoholic) and food products ensuring quality, consistency, safety, and sanitation
- Perform all POS duties and front of house functions Maintain health & safety standards for guests and staff
- Perform cleaning and closing duties including sweeping and mopping
- Make excellent use of your time management skills and attention to detail

**We are looking for**:

- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for food and drinks
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for and interest in board games
- Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards, hospitality practices and procedures
- Smart Serve is a must
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and food handling
- Barista or food prep experience is a plus
- Up to 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule (must be available weeknights and weekends)
- 1 - 2 years experience serving food & alcohol in a comparable restaurant or café setting preferred
- Ability to quickly shift between tasks, work under pressure and handle stress in a fast paced work environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay is $17.60 per hour plus tips.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
