**Reports To**:Restaurant Manager

**Position Summary**:
The Bartender is responsible for the consistent achievement of friendly and courteous customer service excellence by ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of beverages for serving personnel and guests.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Creates a positive and friendly guest experience through the consistent adherence of Canad - Certified Four Star standards of service;
- Strictly adheres to all corporate policies and procedures, existing laws, terms and conditions of the Manitoba Liquor and Gaming Authority including and not limited to ensuring all guests meet the minimum age for the purchase and consumption of alcohol;
- Receives and prepares beverage orders for serving personnel and guests and serves drinks as requested, paying attention to detail(s);
- Completes and presents beverage orders at the service bar area in a systematic manner;
- Receives, orders and serves food for guests seated at the bar;
- Maintains cleanliness in all bar areas including counters, equipment, sinks, storage areas, etc. and ensures bottles and glasses are arranged as per required standards and practices;
- Restocks and replenishes bar inventory and supplies prior to and after each shift worked;
- Accepts guest payment, processes credit/debit cards, cash charges and maintains accurate record of all daily / shift receipts;
- Proactively monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible drinking as per Serving it Safe standards and practices.

**Education and Experience**:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred;
- A minimum of 1-2 years Bartender experience;
- Possess Serving it Safe Certification;
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Knowledge of standard and specialty drink recipes;
- Ability to understand and communicate both orally and in writing in English;
- Ability to effectively and efficiently recognize and resolve issues and concerns;
- Consistently exemplify a professional attitude and demeanor;
- Strong ability and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Stand, walk and remain on feet throughout the duration of scheduled shift;
- Able to lift, balance and carry 50 lbs throughout the duration of scheduled shift;
- Contend with loud noises, large group and potentially disgruntled guests;
- Able to work a variety of shifts including, days, evenings and weekends;
- Ability to successfully attain a clear criminal record check.
