Goodness Me is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused, full-time Grocery Department Manager for our Upper Gage store location. This is a six-month contract with the possibility of extension.

**Your day-to-day**:
You will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the Grocery Department, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets. Other duties and responsibilities may include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and returning customers
- Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge
- Ensuring stock is appropriately rotated and satisfactory inventory levels are maintained
- Participating in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Ensuring adherence to company and industry regulations
- Interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Motivating and inspiring team members while ensuring that productivity levels remain high
- Executing performance management conversations with team members
- Assisting in rolling out new policies and ensuring team members are compliant

**What you bring**:

- 3-5 years of management experience
- Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc)
- A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the department
- A strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work primarily daytime shifts, with evening/weekend availability
