Position
The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of the retail store operations, including strategy and the development of their people. They are accountable for ensuring that all areas of the retail business are fulfilled and creating a lasting customer experience for our guests. The store manager develops capabilities within the team to drive strategy and achieve results for the business through our core values of excellence, innovation, joy, and transparency.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop people through our core values
- Hold the team accountable for results and have crucial conversations when needed
- Develop a strategy to build a strong bench of talent and leaders
- Recruit and hire people who are aligned with our culture and brand vision
- Develop strategies and in-store initiatives to meet business objectives
- Manage team performance with ongoing coaching
- Provide timely feedback on sales plans and key performance indicators
- Produce results that meet or exceed company goals and maximize store profitability
- Manage the store schedule in a way that supports business trends (labor management)
- Be responsible for the quarterly and yearly strategies and operations
- Work in collaboration and maintain a strong working relationship with our optician to optimize the customer experience
- Represent the BonLook brand: reflect company values and brand image at all time
- Know and understand the corporate story/vision and be able to inspire the team
- Manage inventory
- Ensure store visuals are up to date and following company standards
- Motivate and keep team engagement high
**Qualifications**:
- 3 to 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in retail
- High school diploma or certificate in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Human Resources: recruitment, training and performance management
- Excellent communication skills and active listening
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Focused on problem solving and solution
- Ability to interpret sales targets into action plans
- Confidence in being able to coach and inspire team
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
- Availabilities days, evenings and weekends
- Bilingualism is a major asset (French and English)
Work conditions
- Permanent full-time and permanent part-time position
- Must be available days, evenings and weekends
