**Job Description** Mission**

We are currently looking for a junior engineering professional specializing in sustainable design, building efficiency and energy simulation. The incumbent will work on energy modeling, estimate building energy use intensity (EUI) and collaborate with the design teams on energy and GHG emissions reduction measures.

CIMA+'s Buildings team is renowned for designing high-quality, energy-efficient buildings, while prioritizing user comfort. Several of our projects have won awards in various competitions. With a constant desire to offer our customers the best possible service, we have set up a team of specialists dedicated to high-performance projects to support our customers and design teams across Canada.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform building simulation and energy modeling mandates, as well as carbon emissions analysis
- Prepare energy models in compliance with the National and Provincial Energy Codes as well as standards for green building certifications
- Identify strategies and solutions for clients to improve energy performance, indoor air quality and thermal comfort.
- Write technical reports
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and project design teams
- Prepare documentation according to the NECB performance compliance process
- Provide technical support and verification for projects seeking green building certification such as LEED, Zero Carbon Building, and BOMA BESt, etc.
- Perform life-cycle cost analysis for various energy conservation measures
- Perform energy and water audits for existing buildings.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in building engineering, building science, mechanical engineering or another related field
- P. Eng would be an asset
- Experience with energy simulation software such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus or IESVE
- Experience with RETScreen Expert, HAP, TRACE 3D is an asset
- Interest in sustainable development, energy-efficient system design, energy simulation, energy management and grant and incentive programs
- Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written, to participate on projects with collaborators across Canada
