- Posting is to create a casual list of Mathematics instructors for Saskatoon Campus. Assignment is less than 29 occasions per year.**Posting Status**
- Open- Casual instructors are hired by the Department of Arts & Sciences to teach courses in times of high demand. As a casual instructor, you will be assigned full responsibilities for courses assigned to you (i.e. preparing lessons, evaluating student progress, communicating with students and programs, etc.) over the course of the semester(s). Casual instruction in the Department of Arts & Sciences is **not** substitute teaching.

- 1. Provide instruction in mathematics and statistics classes to post-secondary students in a wide variety of programs.
2. Practice good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
3. Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
4. Utilize LMS for in person, online, and blended course delivery.
5. Manage the classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment using an outcomes-based approach.
6. Respond to and accommodate the special learning needs of students, including equity groups and diverse learners.
7. Use appropriate evaluation methods, record student progress, and provide feedback.
8. Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
9. Follow academic regulations and policies adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
10. Work cooperatively with program heads and colleagues in an interdependent “team” environment.
11. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.

- 1. Master’s degree in Mathematics or Master’s of Science (Mathematics and/or Statistics).
2. Two years’ recent/relevant business/industry experience or post-secondary experience.

6. Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.
