We are looking to hire a licensed and experienced full-time **Electrical Assembler** for assembling, installing, and wiring electrical components and systems for our custom machinery. Reporting to E-Shop Lead, the Electrical Assembler is responsible for all electrical assembly in the shop, and for installation, connection, troubleshooting, andteardown in the assembly area. (Monday - Thursday: 7:00AM - 4:30PM; plus Friday: 7:00AM - 3:00PM)
- **Key Duties &Responsibilities**_
- Assembling and installing electrical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications, e.g., properly affixing electrical connections as per Code; and executing panel layouts according to drawings and instructions.
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during the assembly process.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure all electrical work meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicating with all other departments to see to it that any electrical function issues are fully and quickly resolved.
- Maintaining efficient assembly/install times (actual vs. budget)
- Ensuring that electrical drawings marked-up with changes/omissions are submitted to Electrical Engineering for the update of customer manuals.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Complying with Company safety policies and following established procedures with regards to the record of incidents and accidents.
- Taking an active part in Apprentice training and development.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment; keeping the work area tidy, clean, and organized.
- Completing and delivering all the required paperwork in a timely manner.
- **Qualifications**_
- 442A certified Industrial Electrician or 309A Electrician’s license.
- Four or more years experience in electrical assembly, control panel building, machine manufacturing and equipment installation.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, line layouts, and BOMs.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Able to fabricate brackets, hangers, and junction box mounts.
- Knowledge of Company products and manufacturing processes, e.g., understanding of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- **Expertise with PC-based software**:
- Familiarity with using hand tools safely and efficiently.
