Junior Caretaker

**Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
As a Junior Caretaker, you will work alongside the primary caretaker to maintain the island property and assist with various tasks, including but not limited to:

- **Boat Maintenance**: Regular cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of boats and water equipment
- **Island Upkeep**: Cleaning docks, decks, and windows; removing debris; watering plants; general landscaping
- **Assistance with Water Activities**: Helping with water-based activities (depending on your experience)
- **Boat Driving**: Pick-up and delivery back and forth from Parry Sound
- **Other Duties**: Performing additional tasks as assigned by the primary caretaker

**Compensation**
- Hourly rate TBD, commensurate with experience
- Expected hours per week: Approximately 40-50 hours
- Full-time, seasonal position from late June/early July to early September, with the possibility of continued work before and after the summer months if available.

**Position Requirements**
- Familiarity with Georgian Bay and its waterways
- Experience in driving boats and maintaining water equipment
- Experience working with children is preferable but not a prerequisite
- Sports skills are an asset
- Calm, flexible, and confident personality
- Positive attitude with good communication skills
- Willingness to work outside of regular hours, if necessary
- A valid driver's license is required
- Must have or be eligible for a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
