We are looking for a professional, honest, and hard-working **Safety Advisor** who strives to be the best and shares our core values**:Accountability, Communication and Teamwork**. Under the direction of the Safety Manager, the Safety Advisor will assist with ensuring compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations in NS, on-site, across various job sites in the HRM for the Major Projects team.

Responsibilities: *
- Conduct Safety Orientation and complete necessary documentation
- Coordinate safety training identified for NS employees
- Attend pre-job start-up meetings and facilitate safety requirements
- Conduct rcs hazard assessments
- Perform job site safety inspections
- Provide administrative assistance with documentation on site, including but not limited to collecting hazard assessments, pre-use inspections and verifying training documentation for sub-contractors
- Respond to incidents and complete and/or collect necessary paperwork
- Complete incident investigations when necessary
- Conduct and submit weekly site reports to H&S Manager
- Implement corrective actions on site when needed
- Conduct Toolbox Talks as requested
- Inform H&S Manager of major safety violations on site or potential critical tasks

This position will require regular travel within HRM, so a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license and insurance are required.
