Scheffer Andrew Ltd. is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team for a full-time
position. The role is ideal for growing your experience with land development, transportation,
planning, and engineering.

Scheffer Andrew Ltd. is a medium sized engineering and planning consulting firm, which has
operated in Western Canada, primarily Alberta, for over 45 years. We currently have offices in
Calgary and Edmonton with approximately 50 employees. Our work focuses on municipal, land
development and transportation engineering.

Duties of this position will include, and are not limited to:

- Performing topographical surveys, subdivision construction layout, and other Geomatic

work.
- Field experience should include traditional survey equipment (i.e., rod and level), total

station, GPS systems (including data collector usage), subdivision survey and
construction layout calculations as well as volume calculations.
- Review of design drawings to ensure familiarity with the various projects at the onset of

construction, and to check for possible design deficiencies.
- Liaise with inspection staff from the municipality in which the projects are located.
- Record drawing coordination.
- Preparation of daily progress reports and regular reporting.
- Training support staff.
- Carry equipment and supplies and install stakes.
- Other duties as required.
- **5 to 10 years’ experience in the field inspection of Municipal Engineering and Land**

**Development projects.**
- Familiarity with sewer, water main and road construction materials, methods and

processes.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- A self-motivated individual looking for advancement opportunities.
- **A vehicle and a valid driver’s license** are required for this position.
