We are currently looking for Full -Time Front Counter Attendant at our Sherwood Park (700, 8005 Emerald Drive) location.

**Schedule Details**:

- _Monday to Sunday Availability (Saturday and Sunday availability is a must)_
- _Shifts vary between 7:00 a.m. till 9:15 p.m._
- _Mornings, Mid-day, Evenings and Weekends Required_

What You'll Be Doing:

- Greet and serve customers in the bakery department
- Package baked good for customers
- Use electrical printers to price appropriate bakery item
- Answer customer questions and provide advice regarding products
- Ensure pastry counter is always full of products
- Stock and maintain bread wall and bins
- Portion, box, and/or wrap various pastries; cakes, pies, squares, breads, etc.
- Handle and prepare various bakery products; cookies, cakes, rolls, etc.
- Wash and clean baking supplies by following sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Take customer calls and process bakery orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Check products for quality and identify damaged or expired goods
- Clean display cases and shelves according to company standards
- Adhere to food safety and handling procedures
- Keep work area clean and presentable
- Suggestive selling
- Other duties as required

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
- Long periods of standing and walking
- Frequent bending and twisting
- Occasionally pushing and pulling of heavy carts around bakery
- Occasionally work in coolers and freezers for short periods of time

What We're Looking For:
**Education**:

- High School or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.

**Experience**:
Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a professional image at all times
- Work independently with little direct supervision
- Have a well-balanced concern for both task and people
- Have a genuine concern for needs of customers

Working conditions: Job requires employee to work a variety of shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Employees will be exposed to cold temperatures when accessing our refrigerated areas. Job also requires employee to work with challenging customers and/or situations.
