**Job description**
**Product Assembly**
Small start up company building plastic waterless/ composting toilets requires a very careful, detail oriented and ideally somewhat mechanically inclined person for product assembly and some warehouse work. Full training is provided. Additional duties include keeping the place tidy, and any other day to day tasks. This is a part time position, at least for now. Hours are very flexible and up to you. We are looking for someone who shows initiative; who figures out what needs to be done - and does it without waiting to be told. You should be very organized, clean and meticulous. A great, positive, friendly attitude is critical. Familiarity with basic hand tools is necessary. Occasional operation of power tools may be required (training provided). You should be able to lift 50lbs for short distances. This is a quiet, positive, working environment where safety is the #1 priority. We provide Worksafe BC coverage, and paid on-the-job training. You must be able to work un-supervised and will often be alone. You have a great, positive attitude, are easy to get along with, and extremely reliable.
The warehouse is near the north end of Elk Lake. A car may be needed, as the nearest bus stop is 1.8km away. Note: There is a heated workshop area where most of the work is performed. However, some work is required in the unheated warehouse area. Also, much of the day is standing up, as it would be awkward to assemble the product from a sitting position. If you prefer, we can also hire you as an independent contractor. (no deductions).
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week
**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
