BCIT’s **School of Construction and the Environment** is seeking a **temporary, full-time (1.0 **FTE**) **BCGEU** Faculty, Piping**. This position could lead to longer term employment. **DUTIES** **AND**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Classroom instruction to apprentice, entry-level or Industry Services students.
- Shop and laboratory instruction and supervision.
- Administrative responsibilities, including assignments, examination marking, and student evaluation.
- Curriculum maintenance and program enhancement.
- Administrative processes required to ensure appropriate resources are in place to deliver training.
- Other duties directly related to the instruction of trades and vocational programs.
- Input into development of modifications to workshop and instructional areas.
**Qualifications**
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- BC Trades Certificate of Qualification/Red Seal endorsement in the following:
- Plumber
- Gasfitter “Class B”
- Gasfitter “class A”
- Steamfitter/Pipefitter
- Sprinkler-fitter
- Five years’ current work experience as a journeyperson in the Plumbing trade.
- Effective interpersonal skills and a strong desire to teach.
- Effective command of the English language - both written and oral.
- Experience working with apprentices in a supervisory role.
- Ability to work as part of a team and develop a collegial environment.
- **Please note: These are the minimum required qualifications. This position is a dayshift position as defined in Article 14.1 of the Collective Agreement.**

**Salary Range**
- Salary Range: $78,133 - $115,805 per annum.**Additional Salary Information**
