North York, Canada VUE Cubed Vision Therapy Full time

Opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adults, helping them overcome vision problems that interfere with reading and learning. Experience or degree in early childhood education a plus, but not required. Must love working with children of all ages.

We will train the right person as a Vision Therapist Assistant. You will be in one of the most interesting and rewarding specialties in eye care. You will be helping both children and adults with visual development and visual rehabilitation.

We are looking for someone who is mature, reliable, has the ability to learn new things, work independently and multi-task. Must love kids and be able to engage them in activities with full cooperation. We want someone who is inspired to make this their career.

Once you are trained as a Vision Therapist Assistant, it will open the door to being trained as a Vision Therapist.

The patient care hours start part time and lead into full time once you are fully trained. Your schedule will be approximately 30 hours/week. Once you are trained the position will be expanded to more hours as your patient load increases.

Qualifications:
We are looking for a bright, energetic individual who loves to help people, is a fast learner, self-directed, well-organized and has good communication skills. This person will want to commit to an opportunity that offers tremendous job satisfaction - helping children to succeed when nothing else could, and helping adults who have struggled since childhood with vision-based learning problems that now affect their professional and private lives
No education or certification required as we provide full training in office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Training from the Lead Vision Therapist - leading up to running vision therapy sessions alone.
- Shadowing vision therapy sessions to learn different activities and language used.
- Setting up and taking down different activities for patients.

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
