**Shifts: Days, may include evenings & weekends**

**Rate of Pay: $21.81 - $25.66 per hour**

Reporting to the Manager, Health Records, Admitting/Central registration, the successful applicant will provide a variety of clerical and scheduling duties for in-patient admissions and out-patient programs, including managing referrals, booking appointments, processing admissions and registering clients. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with Admitting/Central Registration staff and closely with clients and clinicians in a challenging and fast paced environment to ensure that client, clinician and organizational needs are met..

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- One year post secondary office administration program or equivalent combination of education and experience is mandatory
- Recent admissions/registration and appointment scheduling experience
- Experience working in a computerized office environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Excel
- Proficiency in computerized registration and bookings software and keyboarding is essential
- Must have working knowledge of medical terminology and spelling expertise

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Accurate keyboarding skills are essential
- Must be client focused
- Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of client and clinicians on a daily basis
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
