**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Operator with the preparation of orders for the shift to minimize the amount of non-productive time and production scrap.
- Assist the Operator with the running of the slitter with the emphasis placed on the material handling/packaging aspects associated with operating the machine.
- Operate the doctoring machine in a safe and effective manner.
- Assist with both simple and regular routine maintenance of the slitters.
- Maintain housekeeping at a level as outlined by the Company.
- Assist in the training of new employees to ensure they are aware of the safe operation of all equipment within the department.
- Ensure all packaging equipment is used in a safe and effective manner.
- Ensure all paperwork and line reporting is completed correctly.
- Operate forklift equipment when required.
- Perform special projects as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s TQI program.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO9001 and SQF 2000 standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Good aptitude for machines.
- Able to follow instruction with mínimal supervision.
- Legible handwriting.
- Dependable and able to work rotating shifts.
- Willing to work in a team environment.
- Other combinations of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered.

**Education**: Required
- High School or better
