**Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while providing exceptional customer service. You will create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring they have a memorable experience every time they visit.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, in accordance with our recipes and standards
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for customer orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions smoothly
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment
**Experience**
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Proficiency in using POS systems; experience with Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
