You will work as a member of the inter-disciplinary team with responsibilities including collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, performing ECGs and reporting results. This position also includes coverage at the 2nd hospital located in Ponoka, the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury. Shifts will be scheduled at this world class mental health facility as operationally needed. The position includes days, evenings, weekends and on-call with a 30 minute response time.

**Description**:
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Connect Care Epic, Unity Real Time, WellSky, MUSE and Agfa PEI (xray LIS) experience and knowledge is preferred. Minimum 2 years experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiar with Ortho Vitros XT 3400, DxH 600, Clinitek Advantus, Access 2 and ACL Elite Pro instruments.
