TITLE: Technical Consultant

REPORTS TO: Manager - Sales Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Consultant will conduct high-level conversations with IT and Security individuals, across all role levels, in which they complete a discovery about their business, effectively qualifying the prospect and identifying the need for NVT Phybridge solution and booking initial meetings with the Territory and/or Vertical Sales Executive(s).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
- Understanding our partners personas, including the “needs” and “pains” of the industry
- Ability to articulate our value proposition effectively to partners and customers
- Brainstorming and executing new strategies to attract new partners and customers
- Working together with the team to establish and share prospecting techniques that work
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects
- Leverage CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and vertical market sectors
- Updating our CRM to keep detailed task notes, Accounts and Contact information
- Continuously learning about networks and our technology by completing technical certifications, reading case study’s and other learnings
- Other duties as assigned.

Daily\Weekly
- Identify and gather lists of individuals that meet the ideal customer profile from various sources - creating “suspects” lists;
- Conduct telephone call out campaigns to “suspects” to spark interest in our solution and book a meetings for our Regional Team(s)
- Provide feedback to marketing and effectiveness of messaging from your first-hand perspective;
- Conduct prospecting calls to qualify the prospect (40+ per day);
- Setup appointments with prospects for Territory and\or Vertical Sales Executives (7-10 per week);
- Appointments had (individual(s) attended) objective is 25 a month
- Managing CRM tasks, and updating records to keep accurate
- Daily scrum calls to review previous day efforts

Monthly
- Meet with Sales Executives to identify new ideal partner/end user profiles that should be prospected. Seek feedback on successful opportunities as to key stakeholders and motivating drivers to enhance future research and prospecting;
Quarterly
- Review Quarterly metrics as above;
Annual
- Review Annual metrics and measure against targets;
- Annual performance review with management;
Other
- Other sales or marketing related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Open office environment; within hearing range of other Sales staff making calls, and/or, conversations in open office concept;
- Hybrid office environment; HQ located in Oakville, ON
- Start/Finish hours may be adjusted to accommodate calls to different North American time zones;

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- A commanding desire to learn and succeed in technical consulting
- 6+ months in sales or related market/business experience
- Knowledge of any of the following industry sectors a plus: telecommunications, security and surveillance, channel and/or distribution sales, selling directly to consumers
