**Manager, Manufacturing**

We are currently looking for a full-time energetic manager to oversee our sewing manufacturing department. Our company is a small, tight-knit business serving a niche market of clients in the film and entertainment industry through the fabrication of drapes and related fabric materials.

**Job Summary**
- Allocation of daily duties to members of the sewing team,
- Provide quality control to all manufacturing projects,
- Managing all ongoing jobs and staff to ensure customer deadlines are met,
- Quality review of supplies and manufactured products,
- Tracking of inventory and report to management when levels are below company standards,
- Working with sales team to estimate manufacturing hour and fabric requirements,
- Working with rentals team to maintain prep, maintain, repair and stock rental inventory,
- Managing 4-6 sewers and
- Maintenance of a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Hands on duties will be required, including:

- Cutting, pinning and sewing fabrics,
- Cleaning of rental drapes,
- Bi-annual fabric and notions inventory,
- Inspecting, folding and preparing drapes / fabrics for both sales and rentals, and
- Frequent lifting of heavy fabrics.

**Qualifications**
- Must have at least 5+ years industry-related sewing experience,
- Must be a proficient sewer,
- Experience in effectively managing a team,
- Experience working with industrial/commercial single needle, serge and grommet machines,
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral in English,
- Experience with MS Office,
- Positive attitude, hardworking, detail oriented, confident and outgoing personality, and
- Good work ethic, attention to detail and eagerness to learn under the Head of Manufacturing.

**Compensation**

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
