**Requirements/ Responsibilities**:
- Manage project risk by thoroughly estimating the scope, specifications, market conditions, etc. from budgetary information to create estimates.
- Considering material, labour, subcontract costs, accurately complete estimates and quotations for fabricated and machined components.
- Determine areas that may be ambiguous or present problems or result in unforeseen costs.
- Analyze actual performance to inform adjustments to estimating and quotation process.
- Resolve, or assist in resolving, design and detail problems with customers, design agents, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate outsourcing and purchasing requirements. Align subcontractors to meet manufacturing or on-site schedule.
- Prepare, present, review project estimate, and drawings with Management.
- Issue estimates and quote letters to customers.
- Close/negotiate tenders with customers.
- Upon receipt of purchase order, create documents and work package for the shop to manufacture.
- Attend job meetings and production meetings.
- Communicate through life of project with clients, internal team, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Liaise with customers to build and maintain a trusting relationship.
- Ensure customer needs are met.
- Prepare periodic completion data for job cost assessment.
- Analyze job cost reports to determine recommended action on variances.
- Maintain estimate, job files and monitor the maintenance of applicable contract files.
- Utilize ERP software to create records of information, estimates, jobs, etc.
- Coordinate activities with Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in inside sales or a related field, preferably within the job shop/custom manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully closing deals.
- Familiarity with machining and welding (fabrication) estimating processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using software tools such as JobBOSS (E2), Microsoft office, and office software’s
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
- CAD experience an asset
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
