The Granite Club is looking for a part-time Barber who will entail every aspect of the Barbershop experience. The Barber must provide consultations, recommend hair care products and deliver quality technical service. This position also requires maintaining Barbershop standards and cooperation with fellow Barbershop professionals.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Greet all Members in person for each and every service.
- Consult with Members on Barbering needs, recommend professional hair care and services, and deliver quality technical service which will enhance the Member's total look.
- Be proficient in the latest barbering techniques for hair cutting, trimming eyebrows, moustaches, and beards, tapers, scissor over comb techniques, hot shaves, as well as value-added services.
- Be proficient in the use of barber equipment needed to perform technical work.
- Build strong retention of the barbershop Member base. To be accomplished through pre-booking appointments, service/product recommendations, and utilizing any promotional material available.
- Responsible for the daily cleaning of the workstation including sweeping up after each member, and cleaning small and large mirrors, product niches, stations, and chairs.
- Responsible for providing own cutting tools.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order and ensure that backup equipment is available if required.
- Assume responsibilities of assisting fellow Barbers throughout the day.
- Meet service and retail revenue goals set for the department. Always upsell service offerings.
- Use all products carefully, avoiding waste, injury, and/or damage to Member's hair.
- Consistently follow manufacturer’s instructions on all products.
- Set an example of knowledge, professionalism, and skill.
- Promote Barbershop services and support team culture.
- Attend department/organization meetings and training as required.
- Maintain all barbershop/salon policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of Member’s information.
- Actively promote and recommend Members to visit “Touchpoints” for any Salon & Barbershop feedback about their experience.
- Downtime is to be properly utilized.

**Required Qualifications**
- University or College Degree/Diploma in a related discipline.
- Designer efficient in all areas of cutting from basic advanced.
- Must have a basic advanced shave and barbering skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a barbershop.
- Highly computer literate.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Highly customer/member service-oriented.
- Well-groomed, mannerly, cooperative, team-oriented, and friendly.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Able to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to learn.

**Work Schedule**:

- Must be available to work weekends, weekdays, and/or holidays, AM and PM.
