**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations.
- Assist with basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as required for loading or unloading tasks.

**Qualifications**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving preferred; certification may be required based on the type of vehicle operated.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
