Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our energetic management team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about turf management and committed to maintaining and improving our golf course and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
- Recommend daily course condition updates to the Superintendent
- Assist with daily operations: course setup, irrigation, mowing, and bunker maintenance
- Prepare job boards and coordinate extra projects
- Enforce maintenance and health & safety policies
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the Superintendent’s absence
- Train staff on machinery and safety procedures
- Maintain buildings, equipment, and property
- Support pesticide and fertilizer management using IPM principles
- Troubleshoot and maintain irrigation systems
- Plan and execute improvement projects

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in Turf Management (minimum 2 years education preferred)
- 3-5+ years of hands-on golf course maintenance experience
- Familiarity with automated irrigation systems
- Valid Alberta pesticide license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Effective leadership and team-building abilities
